Coco Pile

Former Intern, Product Maker, Massage Therapist, Spa Party Leader, Moondance Blogger

I have been studying the health of the human body since 2010, and herbalism since 2013. At first, I started working for Moondance as an intern and over the years I have blossomed into several roles. Currently, I have the honor of serving our community through massage therapy, reiki, teaching skin care in the herbal spa parties, sharing inspirational art, and teaching herbal practices.

The beauty about this craft is the endless possibilities and depths of knowledge/wisdom you can reach. My bachelor of science in Integrative Medicine is the base of my herbal training and foundation of my body understanding. With every month of additional training and experience, my love grows for plants and their powerful impacts on our bodies.

The Moondance products I can’t live without are horsetail nail cream, sacred oils face serum, and rose anointing oil.

I started interning at Moondance in August 2015 as a requirement for my Bachelors of Science degree in Integrative Health Car
e. I graduated in December 2015 and decided to stay with Moondance as an intern and I am grateful to now be shop person on Mondays and Saturdays. I love working with the customers at the shop, hearing their stories, and being able to lead them to the perfect product. I am also pursing my dream of helping people with day to day anxiety, depression and stress by integrating yogic practices, herbal remedies, and aromatherapy into classes and private consultations.

My favorite Moondance products change often! Right now, Warm-up Salve, Sweet Blossom Face Cream, and Lavender Meadow Room Spray.

Nancy Niero
Nancy was a new hospice chaplain in 2009 when she began visiting people who were dying, and meeting with families and friends who were grieving. Nancy went to seminary at age 50, trusting and believing she was called to be with people at the end of life and with those who grieved a loss.
She wasn’t new to grief. Nancy knew her well, like the back of my hand. A dad who died when she was in her early 20s in a tragic accident, coupled with a failed marriage, and the loss of important relationships in her youth, made Nancy an expert in living with grief. These broken places in her life have made her a better pastor and wiser chaplain to sit with the broken places of others.
In those first years of chaplaincy, she realized that people dying and familes grieving needed ritual in their lives more than ever. Ritual is how we make meaning in the day to day living life. Stopping to have that ritual cup of tea. Journal writing. Taking a walk. Prayer is ritual, whether it is with a mala, a rosary, a song, a meditation, yoga, simply in silence, or however you carve out meditation time and by whatever you find meaningful.
In these spaces of suffering and joy, heartbreak and happiness, Anoint was born.
