Grounding Class and Guided Mediation, Thursday, Aug 3rd, 7-8 PM

$15 per person, price includes an essential oil blend

Intentionally taking a moment to detach from your obligations and tasks can be a powerful recalibration. Especially, if in that moment you deliberately ground yourself, and reconnect to your body and your environment.
This quick one hour class will teach you how to slow your mental clock and be more intentional with your thoughts or actions. One hour of self care and connection will buy you hours of more quality time in your work and pleasure at home. Come learn how a few essential oils can help you reconnect quickly and effectively. As well as, be lead through a balancing guided meditation to gain mindfulness and harmony of your mind, body and spirit. To help assist you in graining the momentum for self care, we will be giving everyone who signs up for the class a vile of the grounding oil to take home and start your practice. Please call the store to register for the class, so we can be best prepared to serve you.
If you wish to enhance your comfort for the meditation, feel free to bring yoga mats or blankets. We will provide pillows and the aromatherapy for the class. If you wish to use this as your grounding time for the month or want to learn more, the class will vary in mediation and grounding essential oils every month.

The Wonderful World of Cannabis and Hemp! 3 part class (August 10th, 24th and 31st) , 6:30-8:30 PM

$30 per class or $85 for all

Come join Holly Hoops, Herbalist and Cannabis Educator, for a three-part learning experience diving into the The Wonderful World of Cannabis and Hemp!

Each class we will focus on a different topic within the medicinal world of the Cannabis plant. Learn all about your Endocannabinoid System (ECS), major cannabinoids THC and CBD and how they scientifically function within our body, the History of Cannabis and where it all began, the actual difference between cannabis and hemp, and the many uses and applications!
Each class we will make a different CBD hemp infused product to take home! There will be NO smoking or ingesting of cannabis in this class. This is an opportunity to get educated about this mysterious, magical, highly medicinal plant and how it can help heal you and your loved ones.
August 10th – Endocannabinoid System: What is CBD and THC and how do they function in the body? – Make your own CBD Infused Salt Scrub
August 24th – History of Cannabis and Hemp: Where it all began, who discovered it and an in depth timeline up to now! – Make your own CBD infused Salve
August 31st – Healing with Cannabis and Hemp: The many uses and applications – Make your own CBD Tea Blend

Intentional Mala and Bracelet Crafting: Thursday August 17th, 6-7:30 PM
 $65 per person
Join us in customizing your very own mala bead necklace or 4 bracelets. There’s something incredibly healing about creating among community and devoting time to making art that is beautiful, personal and wearable! You’ll have access to a wide and colorful array of stone beads to design your necklace or bracelets. The word “mala” means “heavenly garland” or “necklace” and it is used as a tool for meditation or prayer and as a beautiful talisman. It is scared and used for meditation and Attunement, and typically you speak the name of a deity, intention or affirmation while touching each bead. Over time the more you use it, the more powerful it becomes. And the more peaceful, aware and tuned in you become.
Choose to make 1 necklace or 4 bracelets. All materials provided.


Herbal Salves and Oils: Wednesday August 23rd at 6:30-8pm
$30 per person
Come learn how to make salves and take one home! Salves fix it all! Well, almost…they are excellent for the skin and can be used in first aid, for pain, or to soothe irritated skin. Join me for this class to learn how to make your own salves and when to use them. We will be focusing on the basic salve that you can dress up in a variety of ways to address your interest! Come ready to craft!

Ukulele primer: Saturday August 26th 10:30 – 11:15 PM
 $40 per pair (adult and child) 
The Ukulele is a wonderful instrument to get littles started on. They are small and light so perfect for toddlers to hold. Instruction will be given on chords and practice for playing their first song! Ukuleles will be provided for the class, but feel free to bring your own! This is an adult and child class as we will learn together(one ukulele per pair). This is great for ages 2 and up.

 

 

 

 

 


 

Herbal Infused White Wines: Saturday August 26th at noon – 1:30pm
 $40 per person
Herbal wines are sure to bring your taste buds a burst of pleasure. My Grandpa Matt used to make Dandelion wine in Iowa on the family farm, so naturally I developed a ‘genetic’ interest in herbal wines. I have been experimenting with herbal wine infusions for several years, and look forward to sharing some of my favorite recipes with you! During the class, indulge in a flight of 3 hand crafted herbal wine infusions & learn about the pairings of different herbs and wines to make the tastiest of drinks!


What is Dry Brushing: Sunday, Aug 27th 12:00-1:30 PM

$15 class only, $25 for class and a dry brush

You may have heard of dry brushing, but you may not know what that even means to your health or how to do it?

This course goes over where the tradition began and what they discovered about its influence on your health and skin. As a class we are going to walk through the motions of dry brushing the entire body, answering questions, and learn how to promote the health of our skin.  

It’s recommended to bring your own dry brush to participate with learning the process of dry brushing, but it is not required. You can observe this part of the class or pretend to go through the actions. You can purchase a dry brush with the class or at the store before the class. Please call the store to register for the class so we can be prepared to best serve you and other attendees.

Peruvian Energy Booster: Maca: Wednesday September 6th at 6:30-8 PM

$30 per person

Maca is an ancient Incan super food that has been widely used in South America for centuries. Come learn about the energy and libido boosting benefits that this amazing plant has to offer. You will also get to make and enjoy a maca energy bar and take away some tasty maca recipes. I was introduced to and learned about maca while traveling through South America 11 yeras ago, and have loved it ever since

 


Midwifing Death: Using Essential Oils at the End of Life and For Those Who Grieve: Saturday September 9th1:00 – 3:00 PM

$35 per person

Join Nancy Niero, hospice and hospital chaplain, and co-creator of the Grief and Heartbreak Support products at MoonDance Botanicals, to learn how to use salves, salts, butters, and sprays to support those who are dying, at death, and for those who grieve. Class includes creating rituals, making an individual herbal spray, and creating a communal healing salve.

Introduction to Ayurveda: Sunday  September 10th at 2 – 4 PM

$40 per person

Ayurveda is an intelligent, ancient wisdom that supports a healthy and radiant life. In Sanskrit, ‘Ayur’ means life and ‘veda’ mean knowledge. Thus, it is the knowledge of life. The holistic healing system has evolved for over 5000 years. Ayurveda recognizes that our mind-body types are different. Therefore, our lifestyle and dietary habits should coincide with our mind-body type for optimal health. During the workshop, you will discover your mind-body type, and learn self-care tips to improve your overall well-being.

Curious about herbalism and the practical uses of plants that can enhance your health and wellbeing? Join us for this introduction to using herbs with kitchen ingredients and learn about their properties for your health.

Elder: Flower and Fruit: Saturday September 30th at 11 AM – 12:30 PM

The Elder plant provides medicinal value in many ways! Sometimes the flower gets over looked because the fruit is so highly valued. Come learn the benefits of both fruit and flower from this wonderful plant! We will explore a variety of fun treats and herbal remedies that you can make with elderflower and elderberry.

 

 

 

 


Autumn Chai:  Sunday October 8th at 1 – 2:30 PM

$25 per person

Come learn the craft of chai tea. Not only is it delicious, but it also is healthy for you! Now you have a great excuse to indulge in a cup on that chilly Fall day. We will be exploring the benefits of the different herbs and spices that make up chai tea, and how they act physiologically in your body to boost your health. We will also craft our own chai tea blend for you to take home with you after the class. We will of course have almond or coconut milk chai tea to drink and chocolate during the class.

 

 


Elderberry Medicine:  Wednesday October 18th at 6:30 – 8:00 PM

$35 per person

Elderberry syrup is absolutely delicious and has the bonus feature of being effective against 10+ strains of the flu! During this class, enjoy an elderberry cocktail while learning about the health benefits of elderberry and realizing that it will be your best friend in the winter months. We will also sample elderberry in various forms, craft your own elderberry syrup to take home and discover why elderberry is the best remedy for the flu.

Herbs for Stress and Sleep:  Wednesday November 1st at 6:30 – 8:00 PM

In our society, many people find that it is difficult to get a restful deep sleep with the amount of stress, so many things on our mind, and busy lifestyles. During this class, we will discuss a handful of useful, local, and global herbs that can benefit our sleep patterns ranging from trouble falling asleep to insomnia. Additionally, how to actually use various herbs and implement other techniques that can be used to foster deep and restful sleep will be explored.

 

 


Bitters for Digestion: Wednesday November 15th at 6:30 – 8:00 PM

With all of the eating happening around the holidays, it is hard not to think about digestion! This class will explore the world of bitters, how they can help aid digestion, influence your gut microbiome, and help you get through the holidays. Bitters are more than just a delightful addition to your Old Fashioned cocktail. During the class we will have a sampling of bitters and delve into this important class of herbs.
